Beautiful entrances built to handle TN weather, heavy vehicles and decades of daily use.

(615) 246-6510Licensed · Insured · 1-Year Warranty

Your driveway is the first thing guests see — and the hardest-working slab on your property. We design and pour residential and commercial driveways engineered for Middle Tennessee weather and built to last 30+ years.

A concrete driveway is one of the best-return investments you can make in your property. It boosts curb appeal, requires far less maintenance than asphalt, and — when it's poured correctly — outlasts every other paving option on the market. The key phrase is 'poured correctly.' A driveway that cracks, heaves, or crumbles is almost never a concrete problem; it's a sub-base, thickness, reinforcement, or drainage problem. That's exactly where Culman Construction earns its reputation.

We start every driveway with a properly compacted gravel sub-base and pour a minimum four-inch slab for standard vehicles — thicker where trucks, RVs, or trailers will park. We reinforce with rebar or wire mesh, place control joints at engineered intervals to direct any cracking, and grade the entire surface so water sheds away from your home and garage. These are the details that determine whether a driveway lasts five years or fifty.

We handle full tear-out and replacement of failing asphalt and concrete, new construction pours, driveway widening, parking pads, and aprons. Choose a clean broom finish, exposed aggregate, or a stamped border to tie the driveway into the rest of your hardscape. Every driveway we pour is backed by our one-year workmanship warranty.

Why homeowners choose Culman for concrete driveways

Concrete Driveways FAQs

How thick should a concrete driveway be?+

Four inches is the standard for passenger vehicles, but we recommend five to six inches (with heavier reinforcement) anywhere trucks, RVs, or trailers will park. Correct thickness is the number-one factor in a driveway's lifespan.

How long before I can drive on my new driveway?+

You can walk on it in 24 hours and drive passenger vehicles on it after about seven days. Concrete reaches full strength at 28 days, so we ask you to keep heavy vehicles off until then.

Is concrete better than asphalt for a driveway?+

For most Middle Tennessee homes, yes. Concrete lasts roughly twice as long, needs far less maintenance, stays cooler, and offers decorative options asphalt can't match. Asphalt has a lower upfront cost but higher lifetime cost.

Can you replace my cracked driveway?+

Absolutely. We tear out and haul off the old surface, correct the underlying base and drainage issues that caused the failure, and pour a new reinforced slab built to last.
